Celebrating 30 Years!

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we celebrate Enver Swartz and Enver Swartz Attorney’s 30th anniversary. Over the past three decades, Enver has built an exemplary career as an attorney, leaving an indelible mark on the legal profession in South Africa. From his early days as a fledgling attorney to his prestigious role as an Acting Judge, Enver’s accomplishments are both numerous and impressive.

Enver embarked on his legal career on 18 May 1993 when he was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Since then, he has been practicing for his own account, accumulating a wealth of experience in various areas of litigation. Enver’s early years saw him gaining invaluable expertise in Criminal Court, Divorce Court, Magistrate’s Court, and High Court matters. Even as a young attorney, he displayed exceptional skills and an unwavering commitment to his clients.

In a career spanning over three decades, Enver has left an indelible mark on the legal landscape. One of his significant achievements came during his 16-year tenure representing the Road Accident Fund in the South Gauteng High Court. He handled complex cases, skillfully arguing matters on both merits and quantum-related aspects. Enver’s dedication and legal prowess earned him a reputation as a formidable litigator, ensuring the best possible outcomes for his clients.

Dedication to Clients

In November 2013, Enver was bestowed with a remarkable honor when he was invited to act as a Judge in the Gauteng Division of the High Court of South Africa. Since then, he has served as an Acting Judge on multiple occasions, presiding over a wide array of legal matters. His expertise has been sought in opposed and unopposed motion court, civil trial court, civil appeals, criminal appeals, and even the divorce court. Enver’s impartiality, integrity, and astute legal acumen have made him a trusted figure in the judicial system.

Enver’s commitment to continuous growth and professional development is evident in his participation in various training programs. In July 2013, he attended the Judicial Skills Training Programme offered by the Law Society of the Northern Provinces. His thirst for knowledge led him to be nominated and attend the Basic Aspirant Judges Course hosted by the South African Judicial Education Institute (SAJEI) in July 2015. Additionally, in January 2016, Enver pursued the Advanced Aspirant Judges Training Course, further enriching his understanding of the legal system.

Enver’s remarkable journey took another pivotal turn in October 2016 when he was shortlisted and interviewed by the Judicial Service Commission for permanent appointment as a Judge of the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division. Although this particular opportunity didn’t materialize, the knowledge and experience gained as an Acting Judge provided him with invaluable insights that he continues to apply in his legal practice.

In January 2017, Enver made a significant decision to return on a full-time basis to his practice as an Attorney. His clients now have the privilege of benefiting from his vast knowledge and experience in his preferred area of specialty. Enver’s extensive expertise, honed through his years of service on the Bench and in private practice, ensures that his clients receive the highest quality of legal representation
